Some recent episodes of XY had Ash's aces appearing in the "Who's that pokémon?" segment. They were Greninja, Charizard, Sceptile, Infernape and Krookodile.

So it's safe to assume that if Ash makes it into the games, his team would be Pikachu + those five pokémon.
