My first thought when seeing this little guy was a Deep Sea Ostracod. They look fairly similar

Same. I *really* hope it's a bacteriophage with some cool typing like Poison/Electric. I'm gonna use the *fuck* out of it anyway, because it's my favorite color and looks like a boss, but that typing would make it even more awesome.
