It isn't the rest of the Pokemon fandom, which is largely pleased with the demo. This board in particular just loves to feel outraged. There was literally nothing wrong with the demo, and the cutscene at the end got me really hyped for this game. You're all bitter losers.

Fact is, they have completely new types and a person living in Alola would consider their raticate a completely different pokémon compared to a person living in Kanto. I mean for fucks sake, they evolved differently depending on their environments. That's true for animals too.

That's never been how version exclusives work you moron, the mons still appear in both dexes so you can trade and fight, NPC trainers sometimes use mons from the other version and all confirmed version exclusives are in the demo dex

This is counting Lycanroc, Wishiwashi and dance bird formes as one pokemon and the legendary line(s) as four pokemon.

The megas and the kalos forms change gameplay and had to be created by doing actual work from GFs side. Well, not the dugtrio, persian or muk lines, but otherwise yes. Actually come to think of it, that reduces the effort from 18 to 12 actual Kalos forms that they put effort into.

Also, they could have just made these new pokemon with slight alterations and called them new pokemon, but opted for the Kalos pokemon with alolan forms simply because its better marketing, you faggot.
