Why the fuck are there no fossil pokemon?

This is the first time since gen II that we didn't get a new fossil pokemon.
Anyone else mad that we aren't getting anything new?

Yeah it honestly kinda sucks. I love fossil mons. Seems really fucking lazy on GF's part. At the very least they could have given us Alolan Kabutops and Omanyte.

Yeah. I'm not happy about a lot of things including this. I understand why in theory they wouldn't have fossils on the volcanic islands, and theorized Alolan Kabuto and Omanyte. But, much like the Alolan forms, i am disappointed.

It's going to be the spiny anemone and the bell spider. But they probably won't be rock type, which is fine. I don't mind them breaking that trend.
