popplio's move (aurora veil) sounds significantly better than the other two starters'

though i kinda get the impression kaphotics saw the effect of aurora veil and presumed it halved damage like reflect/light screen, when it might actually be a weaker effect to compensate for blocking both

Except people won't actually use it because it only lasts five turns, sounds like only Psychic-types get it, mons generally don't have the moveslot, and priority users have other things to do meanwhile

there are also some alterred stats for new mons. so we can assume that while these are deflated the jangmo-o line is very physically defensive, physical attackers. rockruff line are fastish physical attackers and yungoos line and pikipek line are also physical attackers. not a huge surprise on any account.
