>>29271970>Hardly any new pokemonI like how people discount the Alola pokemon even though their new typing and ability's ( and possible movesets at that ) apparently mean nothing if it's not a new pokemon by name alone. It's not like Mega's where they temp get a boost and work differnetly in some cases, they are outright like that 24/7 and sit side by side with their counterparts. Yeah, you didn't get 100+ mon at the end of the day, but it's been clear since B&W that they didn't want to do another generation where people had to relearn everything a-la gen1.
>You literally are given pokemon to make sure you don't find any obstacles in your wayand HM's was any different? The only difference is HM's punished the player by having to slot in a move they couldn't remove by normal means ( for whatever reason ) to continue forward. Most of the time making people just have 5 man teams while making the 6th the HM slave. This didn't make the game any more 'smarter' or 'skilled'.
>breeding is now redundant because of hyper trainingonly somewhat valid giving apparently you can only bottlecap a pokemon once, so you still will need to breed for nature and at least 3 other IV's. Not even taking shiny's into the mix, that still is best found via breeding.
