I don't know if I'd call what he's doing in the picture smiling, looks more like he's done with whatever shit's going on. Got that vibe playing through the demo too, to me it seemed like he just had a straight neutral expression, and smiled occationally. Made me kek

To be fair XY had the same problem, MC showed emotion only during the Xerneas/Yveltal cutscene.
In ORAS I don't think he expressed anything ever.

I'm hoping for Sun/Moon but...
