3 of the most cancerous things in battling toned down and we haven't even got the full game yet. They did a lot of good balancing in X/Y and I knew they were going to focus on it even more this gen

At this point I'd actually be surprised if they don't touch other bullshit like -ate abilities, Rock Slide (doubles), and Swagger itself

The damage buff is smaller. Basically a PART of it was needed so everyone assumes it's no longer cancer, when the bonus damage was never the cancerous part of kang, the double effect was.

That's all well and all, but until they nerf Stealth Rock, nothing else will really matter.

Seriously, it needs to be reduced to 1/8th instead of 1/4th or leave the field after affecting a certain number of Pokemon.

The damage reduction is ENORMOUS.

MegaKhang needed max atk and SR damage for most of its important OHKO's and 2HKO's. Now that it's overall damage has been cut by ~17%, it loses a lot of those important KO's. So now it's stuck running Adamant permanently, it still doesn't get the kills it needs, and Ferrorthorn will actually force a switch instead of a battle of attrition.

Stealth Rock doesn't affect VGC so I highly doubt they will ever get nerfed. Gamefreak/Pokemon doesn't care about 6v6 Singles.

His point stands. Smogon assumes access to everything and anything since day 1 or RSE's release as long as nothing contradictory (a 2003 event move can't be on the same set as a Gen V-onwards breeding move). It's a pain in the ass to backtrack when trying to determine legitimate movesets.

When will you Singlesfags ever understand that they do not care about the Singles metagame and probably don't even know it exists.

Thunderwave and Confusion nerf is obviously to reduce SwagPlay spam.
Primals won't be returning in VGC 17.
Stealth Rocks, Knock Off and Scald aren't incredibly common in VGC.

At this point they have to nerf burn, because the average damage output is:
Paralysis: 75%
Confusion: 66%
Burn: 50%
I know it only targets physical attackers, but now you have no reason to confuse a mon unless they make confusion non-volatile.
