I just think it's the selection of Pokemon that bothers me. Like why charizard? Why stoutland? And it just seems very easy to have them on call like that. You don't have to find the HM or catch a Pokemon that can use it. Idk I just think it was a unique comfy feature that I will miss. Maybe it won't feel so sad when I've played it and actually rode something. Bikes however I will miss.

Not that you aren't right, but I don't think quality really dictates whether the mainline games are financial successes anymore. It's more the difference between a success and a huge success.

I'm glad HMs are gone and I like the idea of ridable rentals. To be honest, I already got attached to that Tauros - and I'm sure I'll get more attached to it than I got to most of my HM slaves.

Also I honestly can't believe anyone unironically misses HMs, even if you're in front of me and will even pay me to believe you, I won't.
What's so good about having a HM slave or being forced to teach shitty moves to your team? Because that's the only thing that's going to be removed, since the actual obstacles themselves will still be there and the good HMs became TMs.

Terrible taste aside we don't even know what pokemon are rideable yet outside of a handful of them. It's obviously more than 4, since you can register 4 of them.
