Just like how we thought Sun/Moon would get new megas and it didn't, Gen 8 will have no regional forms. However, it is likely that the Sinnoh remakes will have Sinnoh form pokemon.

Gen 8 will introduce some other gimmick and regional forms will be dropped completely.
We'll be lucky if they don't remove the actual Alolan forms from the dex.
