- it's divided up into arcs covering all the main games, third versions and remakes each with their respective game protagonists
- always strives to adapt absolutely everything from the games. You can expect every Pokémon, form and move to show up
- is on a linear timeline with heavy continuity. Past characters keep showing up past their introduction arcs and grow. For instance, Red started as an 11 year old and is now 20 in ORAS.
The bad:
- The art can be a little iffy and look rushed at times
- The release schedule is all kinds of fucked and has led to stuff such as the BW2 arc going on hiatus for over two years while ORAS is already finished and XY is close to done
The "your mileage may vary":
- faithfulness of the adaptation. The story beats of the games are all generally present, but expanded and some things are completely made up like the main characters' personalities and some characters' affiliations
- the level of violence. As the OP shows, this is a manga where a character can graphically die with lots of blood. It's not the norm though.
