The constant wind blowing just artificially makes it harder to traverse such a dead open area.
And because the pokemon dust clouds are set spawns, you can actually get in locks of being stuck right ontop of it and in a loop of constantly triggering a battle as it spawns with a few frames to inch away from bit by bit.

The entirety between the 2nd and 3rd gyms from D/P/Pt. I fucking hate going through all the locales just to get third gym. Actually I just hate the geography of Sinnoh since it's such a clusterfuck. Always have to use shitty HMs and having to get around the mountains is a pain in the ass in the early game. Nothing against gen 4, I love the pokemon, the new things it introduced but the region itself is ass to me.

But there's barely any HM usage early in the game. It only picks up when you're going to Snowpoint, which is after the 6th badge. Hardly early in the game.

Distortion World quickly lost it's charm on the 2nd playthrough and became one of my least favorite just cause of the tedious Strength puzzle with the 3 fairies, Azelf's being the biggest cunt.

Pokestar Studios sucks ass too, if for the sole reason to making me doing a cutscene in a filming.

All Victory Roads except BW's were shit with RSE/ORAS being the biggest offenders with the HMs needed.

The Rocket base in Mahogany town is such a piss poor place.

serves no purpose other than letting me get my fucking badge from the old coot in the gym.

The whole "let me tell you about the dream world/pokestar studios" sections make me want to cry, forced gimmick shit should never be a thing in a game about bashing monsters together to be the best there ever was.

But the one thing I dread the most is actually during Emerald Nuzlockes:

Watson ---> Flannery ----> Norman can be such a huge pisser, the amount of wipes thanks to that fucking attract Torkoal or just not having a SE move for Slaking....

Rockets in Goldenrod City in Gen 2. There's like 45 fights there

Everything after Lilycove in gen 3, especially seafloor cavern.

The Mt. Coronet climb, all the way up to Giratina in Gen 4.

Chargestone Cave in BW1, Everything from the Plasma Frigate to fighting Ghetsis in BW2

Routes 13 to 15 in Kanto. It's just a shitload of trainers in some of the most bland routes in the series, 13 is just a shitty fence maze, and 14 and 15 are just straight paths.

Honestly I hated Silph Co. When I played it in my Yellow run after playing it on FR/LG I dreaded it so much. I hate it so much. So easy to get lost.

I also do hate the Whirl Islands because you have to go in a certain place to get through it in GSC. So glad that trimmed it in HG/SS

I loved the sewers! You only had to go through one little strip, and it had really good Pokémon, access to the Castelia garden where you could catch Eevee, among others.

Route 13 of gen one. The fence maze is just annoying.
Surfing between Olivine and Cianwood in gen two. But really only because I feel like I miss something in between.
Gen three's victory road because you need every single HM to get through it.
The fog route in gen four.
Not even an Unovabortion but I can't really think of anything I disliked enough. That I can remember at least.
The desert route of gen six. Annoying, wasted potential.

Yes, I often play through my favorite games many more times than that in a year, especially if it's something new, and something I really like.

Although I play more multiplayer or non-linear games in general so it's not always literally the same experience.

But 25x4 is 100, 100 hours is less than five days total playtime, and there are 365 days in a year. So approx. five days of playtime for one game in an entire year is really not a lot.

Maybe I can suggest?

It *is* a five minute area... to do the mandatory shit. The problem is if you finish the game and start looking for the important competitive items: like Leftovers... which are at the center of these sewers. And Black Sludge, if you didn't pick that up off another pokemon, is back in there too.

I always hated going through gen 3's ocean. Its not too bad if you know what you're doing, but its so boring. Fighting water types again and again in this slow drawn out "dungeon" that takes up about 1/3 of the map.
