The sprites that were datamined (http://i.imgur.com/0g4drUf.jpg) are from the Pokedex. I know this because the Japanese youtube video shows Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio in these poses.

This means that the UBs are in the Pokedex!

Why wouldn't the UBs be in the pokedex? They are pokemon.

according to dataminers, these were the sprites to be used on the team preview screen. Perhaps they are a common image between the two resources.

It seems like it because when you heal Greninja in the demo it's whole image appears on the PokeCenter screen instead of just it's sprite. If that changed to full images I wouldn't be surprised if the team preview did to.

The question is, has anyone bothered resizing these on a screenshot of the top screen pokedex (where the evolutionary line appears)?

people were awfully fond of resizing the concept art images into those screenshots, I'm surprised no one did the same with these now that they're available

I know that seems logical giving the sharp protrusion coming from the front of the critter, but narwhals don't have dorsal fins
Also a dolphin would seem a much more likely totem animal anyways

UB is a new classification that lets them go for more wild and weird designs, they're still Pokemon though.

Pic also says no names or titles and generalizes everything like he doesn't really know whats actually going on and just saw something happen.

Chances are he got super lucky or he saw a cut scene of the ultra beasts showing up to fight, which would explain why he doesn't know any names

Yes. There's pink, orange, yellow, green, light blue, blue, and purple. The universal shiny Minior core is black. The shell looks the same even if shiny.
