Anybody else find it ironic that a few years back we were all complaining that Pokemon "was only good in Gen 1" but now that they're giving attention to Gen 1, we want them to stop? Just me? Ok...

I'm pretty sure Gen III is still the most hated.
I still remember the "maybe we need two GB to transfer from crystal?" and the sheer vitriol that followed. Not hoenn, the Gen.

And Gen V is polarizing as fuck.

I didn't mind the incompatibility all that much. I mean, if that's all it comes down to, then Gen III fared pretty well through its substance and refreshing charm.

I'd say the one thing that really did piss me off about Gen III is how the move Psychic lost much of its impact in how it looked and sounded like in the previous games by being rendered pitifully bland and still being kept that way in every single game ever since.
