We all know Kanto is a shit region. However, a chance exists that we will be revisiting the region in the future, so how would you change it?

Some of my ideas:
Route 2: Get rid of the side thing and expand Viridian Forest
Mt. Moon: Give it a "spacier" theme a la Meteor Falls but different
Routes 3 and 4: should be a rockier mountainous route
Route 5: Full day care for breeding purposes
Route 6: Make it a beach/boardwalk between Saffron and Vermilion
Route 11: Industrial wasteland route, similar to the Dream Yard or Virbank Complex
Route 9: Desert route
Route 10: Oasis of the desert route
Routes 8 and 7: Now extended Saffron City
Routes 16,17, and 18: All now one route that is a drawbridge
Routes 12, 13, and 14: 13 and 14 are deleted; 12 goes straight down, make it coastal/cliff side route rather than boardwalk
Route 15: Swamp
The cities themselves should also be overhauled and be given some character
