Even a 1 stage x-item buff was really strong if you knew what you were doing. The 2-stage X-items are going to be pretty gamebreaking if you actually buy them.

Aside for the fact it seems that you swim in money in this game, it's a fair nerf since 99% of the time there's zero reason to buy Max Potions since a 200 HP recovery usually completely heals most pokémon.

I literally never bought Max Potions and I usually buy just 5 or so Full Restores.

The right directly next towards it could be Raichu, but impossible to tell

Psychic is Bottom left, so that's gotta be Mew.

Nobody uses those anyways.
Using them now makes the game more difficult because i can one shot anything an npc throws at me with mawile.
Using one will allow them to land a hit and possibly k.o. mawile.
This is making things harder now anon dont you get it. Their tempting you with power at the cost of a free hit.

I see what you're both saying, but I'd rather just have moves that increase stats given that you can't even use items online, unless there's something I don't know or pokemon can use man made items now.

The only items during battles I've ever used in-game are healing/recovery items, and pokeballs. I don't think I've ever used ethers either.

I battle every trainer, get every item and catch every pokémon on each route. Using 30 hours to do that before beating the league only happens at exceptionally slow playthroughs.

Just playing through the games and not caring about shit like that most pokémon games are like 18-25 hours.

It's really small. From the looks of it we explored like half of the island. It's weird because the two Gamexplain guys mentioned being level 12 two hours in which would suggest a pretty long game.

that isn't a good thing. that's navi "listen" style annoying if you want to play pokemon and you have some fucker talking to you the whole fucking time.

that is why people are so fond of gen1 and 2, it isn't the pokemon it's that nobody inthe game tells you where to go or leads you anywhere, there are minimal cutscenes when you are walking around and someone decides to tell you their life story.

this game is going to be 90% cutscenes where you sit around and share your fucking feelings with that nigger kid and the professor who isn't smart enough to figure out shirts.

He's right though - kind of. Pokemon pacing has sucked since gen 4 or so. I always turn the text display up and animations off, but it's still pretty bad. There's a second pause between people talking, there's tons of tiny little head bobs and animations that just waste time. I feel like I spend more timing mashing the bottoms and waiting for text to appear on my screen then actually reading.

This is the same reason I hate JRPGs with voice acting you can't mash through. It just takes SO much longer to get through then just reading.

There was no options in the demo to speed up text display and I thought I was going to explode every time a speech bubble appeared and the text scrolled by at 1/4 the speed I was reading.

What? Why the hell would you use any other potion unless you were over leveled for end game. Hyper potions were almost full heals for my teams in X&Y/ORAS.

The Gym system had nothing to do with how stale or not stale a given Pokemon game is. Almost every gym had a sidequest before you had to enter it anyways.

I think the post game has gyms replacing those abandon lots all over the islands. The trail captains will fill in the gym leader role and the four kahunas become the elite four.
