From what I've seen, it just looks like they're trying lots of new things, which isn't necessarily bad, and I mean there's always been ridiculous looking mons. In the end, what matters is whether it plays well, and that depends on all kinds of factors that are completely unknowable until you actually have it in hand, but yeah, so far it looks like a pretty funky ride, so I'm optimistic.
Damn, now I'm excited for Alolan Dugtrio.
