Holy hell though, it's still amazing to see this strat coming from the main game. You either need a pokemon that is fast enough to prevent the two stage speed decay from preventing them from going first, or they simply need to be tanky enough to survive.
I'm sure there are some Pokemon they could pick up that would resist the dark type attacks, Morlull, or Comfy or whatever it's called.
This is what I wanted from Totems. Actual boss level encounters, uses game mechanics to it's advantage and trying to take them on with at level Pokemon is incredibly hard instead of the sweep that gyms typically were.
Now imagine the fucking Ultra Beasts, since they aren't going to summon help, they will have to be major buffed up to compensate. I want to hit Absorption with Brave Bird and have the HP bar barely move.
