So I have seen a few threads recently where people are arguing over what is an evolution and what isn't. There are a lot of flaws with the classification system and we are all noticing. What is the best way to classify pokemon and clean up this mess that has happened?
What do we do with Mega evolution and Alolan forms? Should Mega be considered a transformation over an evolution and should Alolan forms be consider separate pokemon? Where do shiny fit in all of this?
From what I noticed
>Pokedex numbering is ruined because of cross gen evolution, branch evolution, Mega, and Alolan forms
>Regional dexing doesn't work because cross gen pokemon being in those regions too
>Body types don't work because some pokemon go from 2 legged to 4 and 4 to 2 and so on
>Should numbering be dropped all together
These are just some thoughts to think about
