Depends. Remakes exist because you can't play them on the systems. I still can play dp on 3ds.

Maybe remakes of firered and leafgreen, they came after ruby and sapphire and could break more patterns bunhaving a remake of a remake.

Anpther thing is masuda don't want to be predictable. Having sequals and no thrid verison works but so do trying a updated remake of a remake.

Rpgs already do this.

You cant play the orginal gold and silver on the ds. Nor can you play the original sapphire and ruby on the 3ds.

Remakes of the first gen was actually demanded the rest due to gamefreaks choice.

Game Freak releases only one remake per console.
>GBA: FRLG
>DS: HGSS
>3DS: ORAS
Based on this rule, the next remakes have to be on Switch.

And the reason they do this is that if they made multiple remakes on a single console, the remakes would become outdated too quickly. They become outdated at a slower pace if it's only one per console.

My issue with this console is that I feel like it might be drastically underpowered (even moreso than usual) unless the dock also has extra graphics processors.

Also I feel like the battery life won't be great.

Also I'm not sure how many people could possibly connect to it, but the base unit is only 2 per console.

Also hand held consoles are usually personal devices, and although this is very cheap for a multi-person home console, it is very expensive for a personal handheld, which means poorfags are winners and losers here. Only one person could play their personal mobile oriented games (pokemon) at a time. So it could be a pretty awkward device for families, since they have to share something that can be used as a one person device.

Otherwise, I do like the concept. It's p cool. If it's owned by one person, or treated primarily as a home console and only mobile under certain circumstances, then it's pretty fuckin cool.

I actually think the console will have a bit of power but be limited outside of the dock. When it know it is in the dock it outputs at full power, the dock doesn't do anything specs wise.

I couldn't afford the 3rd or 4th gen and by the time I was old enough to buy my own games I was already so out of the loop I gave up trying to keep in touch with pokemon all together.

I read posts on /v/ and blindly believe them until proven otherwise. It's a bad habit but its what works for me.

I only see a WiiU 2.0

It had an arcade of titles but the switch doesn't look like it will have anything the masses want except for kids. I don't see the universal age demographic being met here, in fact the trailer was focused around adults 20+
