With Sun and Moon, you don't need to know the type chart. You are notified if the attack will be effective or not. So, dual-type attacks are easy to implement now. Right?

because having 289 possible movetypes would fuck up meta beyond belief. any sort of online play would be reduced to random button mashing

What would the best combinations of two types be, in terms of hitting the most types or combination of types super effectively? Has anyone bothered to figure this out before?

Either an ice/fighting or fire/fighting dual move- both ice and fire hit four types super effectively, and fighting hits five.

Literally two moves. All they need. Just two. One physical, one special. Both are the same. Generic attack of decent strength that is the type or types of the user.

They'd be like judgement but able to use both types at once. Not as strong of course. Rainbow themed or something and have every attack have the type colors. This would've been the best region to do this in because of the rainbows
