No its not. For a second stage pokemon like this sub 500 isn't uncommon. If it really bugs you add +15 to speed, +5 to sp.attack and +15 to attack

Lanturn, Sharpedo and Breloom have the exact same BST for second stage mons. For a defensive mon who is bound to have a tiny speed stat, these stats still make it crazy defense wise. It is terribly afraid of ground moves though but thats the price to pay for such an awesome allround typing

In what way does it look like it will have less than 120 defense? Its a shell covered in freaking spikes. If anything i feel its more likely to outright be a ferrothorn clone tweaked more towards special attack though.

It will have higher base stats maybe 525 around hyppowdon stats,should get spiky shield,and maybe a decent ability,dont think it will be steel though maybe water(i hope) or grass

Poison feels a dead cert but between water and steel for second type. I can sorta see grass but think of this more like tentacruel or jellicent.

Honestly i dont see its bst higher than 500, maybe more generous than I gave, around 489 like ferrothorn

I think that's possible. I don't think the starfish its based on is toxic in any way, yeah its a Pokemon and it can do anything really, but GF works in mysterious ways.

i still don't know how i feel about this design. i really want to like it and its first stage is fine but there's something about how the "arms" look. they look stiff and similar to a plastic toy that's just off-putting.
