Hoenn episodes have great animation, the scenes with Groudon and Kyogre are great and epic looking

Jotho episodes animation looks like shit and like they ran out of money

Kanto and Johto are literally plotless games and have no story or lore worth expanding on.

This all immediately changes with Hoenn and going forward so more budget was put to those regions.

The Ho-oh one was good but not nearly as good as Hoenn's. Lance and Silver were looking very poor
