You see this? If this came into the world with the same budget XYZ has? It would be the single best possible pokemon anime there could be.
Hell it'd probably be one of the better anime out there period.

This show used to have character development, shipping hints were genuinely real, and the characters had lives that werent directly tied to where they are presently.

You know XYZ is relying hard on Ash outright ignoring his history.

And now its going from this to some crazy weird alien shit with red skies.

This isn't what Ash is supposed to be, Ash is the underdog who achieves in a profession, not some fucking world saving chosen one, I think the movies and the following anime diluted him into a mess of a character

If everything that ever happened to Ash was canon you know something is fucked.

Ash is comparable to characters like Rudy, he's not tough, but he thinks he's tough, and his delusion will lead him to success.

This show became so obsessed with marketing and showing off the latest nintendo bullshit that its just meaningless now.

I don't want to see the new weird Ash "Uchiha" Ketchum deal with the weird mutant bug pokemon fuckers from the latest thing, and while it would be disgutsingly out of place, the old Ash would be WAY more interesting

SM anime trailers show him getting frustrated and having the capacity to have a negative opinion on something that isnt just outright evil, if Ash returns to the old Ash, thats enough for me

Have Brock and Misty throw in some cameos for old timesake, I'd love to grab a beer and some buddies and watch that.
The OS was so goddamn good.
