The Strange Souvenir really makes me think that Alola was the next planned region since XY, so that's another piece of the puzzle rith there.
I'm honestly curious as to how it all went down. I liked Kalos as a region, and I wanted to see it developed more in the followup. To see Sun & Moon as the true replacements is more hype, but still leaves questions unanswered
