The Apricorn Balls are probably for HGSS transfers only, same for Dream Ball and BW1

UB Ball will probably be the same unless they introduce more UBs in Gen 8

If you transfer a HGSS mon to Gen6 you can still see the effect, retard. The balls are in the code. Doesn't mean anything.

Yeah but that's not how this video was made. They didn't go around and catch Yungoos a bunch of times after adding the balls to inventory. What they did was force the models to switch by manipulating game data (that's how we learned about the UB ball, as said in Kaphotic's datamine video). There is still no indication that we will actually be able to use these balls.

They didn't just swap the models, that doesn't make sense (because they would still use the same animations). They would have just added the data for an [insert ball] containing a Yungoos into the game, and the game would have processed that. The fact that the game specifically has data for the apricorn balls animations is pretty suspicious.

They force the game to use the UB ball, since it can't be use to catch normal mons. Specific animations for each of the HGSS balls might be suspicious but it still doesn't mean much, other than that they stopped being lazy about implementing them.

Yep. More of a hint that they'll be found in Alola.

Game Freak may be aware that people went way out of their way to get Apricorn balls for Gen VI Pokemon. They're clearly hip to the fact that people like different Pokeballs seeing as NPCs now use more than just regular Pokeballs.

Nope, only the Dream and Cherish Balls can be used. Apricorn Balls are coded as normal items and don't even appear on the Poké Ball menu in battle, they can't be used at all.

The fact that the UB ball is simply called "n/a" in the data worries me a bit.
Either that means it won't be implemented as an item you use, meaning that UBs might not be catchable (yet). Or it could mean that UBs are forked over to you for free in the post game.

I'm hoping there's at least a nifty sidequest you need to go through to obtain UBs.
