it has ZERO offensive presence. If you only look at the positives, it's great on paper. It has ok stats, a ground resistance, good cleric moves in leech seed and aromatherapy, access to recovery outside of rest, and phazing capability
but compare it to actually effective clerics. Chansey can wall 100x better and threaten back with guaranteed 100 damage, cripple teams with t-wave/toxic, and natural cure any status it may get, and it's recovery move has double the PP of synthesis and isn't useless in sand/rain/hail
Togekiss has ground IMMUNITY, better resistances, offensive presence with flinch shenanigans or nasty plot threats, and roost over synthesis
If your opponent has a grass type, meganium is dead weight, and if they have sub, then it's gg. It's got all the pros when you look at your team in a bubble, but put that team in a real world situation against a team that's applying pressure to you and not just playing to your pace, you've got bottom of PU material
