I distinctly remember Shinx's trivia page on bulbapedo claiming that the fakemon from the 2005 "hey you pikachu" April fools DS game had been bought afterwards with a link to a reputable source. Mostly because I thought it was fucking stupid that they bought it since the final product (Shinx) looked nothing like it other than color scheme and being four-legged. All it says now is that they look similar.
Must have been faulty memory or some asshole screwing around with a page.
