Aside from the fact that endothermic animals of the size of many of the larger dinosaurs would require too much food to survive, and ectothermic animals of that size would be too slow and sluggish, by comparing the bone structures of dinosaurs to ectothermic, endothermic, and mesothermic extant relatives, we can almost certainly peg them as being mesotherms.
