They did, they just aren't making new ones. Yet.

Regardless, while I do like Mega Evolution and the concept of Normal/Dragon Mega Cinccino I've enamored myself with would be neat, they're already just about perfect as is. Bone Rush would be more useful of a bone to throw to make it truly so.

That's very likely the formula they'll use, so expect some Gen 4 megas when those remakes come.

Alternatively (and this is what i'm hoping) they'll abandon them in the next gen and just roll them into separate formes, so they won't be as OP and you can use them without needing to press a button every fight.
