I know pokemon can be whatever but at least the snails made sense because their shells were made out of stuff real life snail shells aren't made out of.
Pikipek's evo on the other hand is literally a fucking toucan, so while it gets a pass to do outlandish things because of its pokemon status, it still has a poor design because they're basing a pokemon that has strong peck-based attacks in an animal with an extremely fragile beak without changing anything about it.
That's why most of the people who hate the design are upset. It's literally a toucan with nothing fantastical or cartoony added to it save the angry eyes.
