Still working on my Y Nuzlocke. This is an important one to me, because Y was the first game I ever Locked, but I failed during the three rival battles on the bridge. This is a redemption run.

And so far, it's going fantastic. 6 badges, only 1 death, 2 shinies. Currently grinding the whole team to 44 before I take on the infamous Frost Caverns.

I just lost to Silver in Azaela Town in my Soul Silver Nuzlocke. I think I'll just do a regular playthrough but holy shit that ended quickly. I used Charm with Togepi on Bayleef like 6 times and then crits my only flying type and somehow manages to land crits on the rest of my team.

Fuck Razor Leaf.

The Chickorita is surprisingly difficult in HGSS. Totodile is probably the worst starter to get in that game, despite it being the best competitively.

I honestly thought Chikorita would be a pushover, and I got Totodile through my last trainer card digits. I thought it was some sort of blessing but that Bayleef has taught me otherwise. Didn't help I only had a Hoothoot who stood a chance at killing it.

Second death of the run, after my much more valuable Watchog yesterday

This Gengar never did anything so I'm not that upset tbqh. With a Defense- nature, it couldn't take a physical attack at all, one crit Rock slide and he's gone. Sure, I should have switched him but what good is a Pokémon that can't face any physical attacker? I can't always put my other mons in jeopardy.
I love Gengar but it's just not made for Nuzlockes

Problem is, I don't really have good options to replace him for the ground gym.

Effect spore, unfortunately.

Looking for a 6th mon. Caught a koffing with +def nature but already have arbok and didnt know about doubling up poison. Have a magikarp but don't wanna nig gyarados like normal. Few other shit mons so may have to wait for another catch.

Because Protect is a fantastic move in Double & Triple Battles, which are quite frequent in Blazeblack.

Scouting, baiting (in double & triple), Yawn+Protect etc. It's just necessary in triple battles anyhow

How's this for a WonderLocke ruleset? Was thinking of using X.

>1. If a Pokémon faints, it is dead. Put it in a specific PC box, never to be used again.

I'd say implement a level cap for pokemon received via Wondertrade. It makes the game less of a "Oh hurrdurr I got a level 100 arceus for my first trade gg I win".

I usually go with "Has to be the same level or lower than the pokemon traded" or "same level or lower of the next gym leader's ace"

Crit-blocking abilities are nice. Shell Armor and Battle Armor work. Unfortunately they're not very widespread either, maybe about 15? mons get it.

Arcanine is an amazing Pokémon, first time I'm using it.

fuck crits. 3 of my 4 death were due to the same pidgey's crit gusts. RIP Arthur, Galahad, Nimue, and Tristan. Also, I used my Dewford and route 106 captures on George and Bors, respectively.

Somehow made it through White 2's e4 without a single death. Mostly have Mamoswine being faster than Chandelure and +attack nature on gliscor to thank for that. Vespiquen thankfully killed Gothitelle with a Bug Buzz before it could set up calm minds. About to probably wipe to Iris

I was worried as fuck about Olympia. I really haven't gotten anything that's great for Psychics. I see now that I overthought it, though.

My Swalot was able to get off a Toxic + Venoshock on Sigilyph. By that point, his health was too low, and I switched in to Greninja, who KO'd the fucker with Surf.

Next came out Slowking, and my Greninja was able to do about 40% to it with Grass Knot before it Yawned. In to Simisage, who took a Yawn as well, but got the kill with Seed Bomb.

Sleeping Simisage was no match for Meowstick, so I swapped in to my Hippowdon, who ate the Fake Out like a champ. Meowstick then used Psychic, which did about 20% damage, and my Hippowdon responded with Bulldoze, which did about 50%. Now faster than it, I ended the match with an Earthquake.

Next, I'll train the team to level 50, and finish off Team Flare. Then I'll be to the point where I lost last time.

Little update.
I beaten my rival for the second time at Route 22. Easy and quick.
Now I'm heading to Viridian Forest for a bug-type or a Pikachu if the luck is on my side.

Questions:
What to do with statics Pokémon like Snorlax and legendaries? Same with gifts like Hitmonlee or Hitmonchan, or the ones in Game Corner.

That filter actually works well for Gen 5 as Gen 5 tended to bloat the sprites, making most pokemon too pixelated.

I was blessed with catching a Watchog that learns Detect through level up. So so useful against Lenora to bait and avoid Retaliates.

Quick update
Arrived in Mistralton after beating N & his Rotoms with no deaths.
Caught two unusable Mons (Aipom & Shuppet)

I'm starting to be concerned about this run. I absolutely love my team of 6 right now. A good core of bulky (Musharna, Mandibuzz), strong & reliable Pokémon (Arcanine, Emboar).
Galvantula is speedy and hits hard but it's squishy as hell so I'm fearing it won't last long (I'll do my best).

A good team of 6 is one thing but in those hacks you also need backup in the bench. Should I have a wipe or even a half team wipe, I'm basically fucked. My box is filled to the brim with squishy, unusable Pokémon (apart from Sawk, which is temporarily benched for the flying gym & Rufflet which I'll probably use in the future).

Tl;dr I better get through Skyla with no loss and start catching good Mons after getting Surf if I want to stand a chance in this run

The wonderlocke I'm doing in Y is similar, but with a few rule changes.

Yeah, you always swap the dead one. I suppose you could set a limit for deaths, like 5 or 10 or so, so it's not just impossible to lose. The 9 pokes are a lot more restrictive than you'd think though.

Starting a Fire red randomized run. Playing with a single self-imposed rule; I'm only allowing myself to use as many pokemons as the next gym, and they cannot be trained to a higer level then the next gym's. (I can still capture pokes but I gotta box 'em) so by the first gym I'll be able of having a lvl 12 poke and a lvl 14 poke.
