The thing about the models in battle is that they aren't on the attack permanently. The Pokemon are at rest until they are ready to attack.
This is the same problem as people bitching about Hitmontop standing on two legs, forgetting that it hops onto its head and spins around when it attacks.
Like Typhlosions flames, Hitmontop isn't spinning on its head 24/7. The models are able to show these traits better than the sprites can.
That's not to say that the models can't have some issues here and there, but the problem here is people being needlessly nitpicky over things that aren't actually an issue. That, and just have a boner for sprites.
