The whole fucking point of the datamine is that the info is from the regional dex data. The fact that they're even in the datamine is proof that they have a dex entry. And they're BEFORE Marshadow, too. If they were a separate thing they would index them after Marshadow.

Enjoy the spoilers.
UB's are basically Kernelsprites from Homestuck, if you pardon the analogy. They take on the characteristics of the first thing they encounter.
In Sun/Moon, all of them encounter people (different depending on which version) and then take on their traits.

In Sun:
UB-2 takes on Gladion's traits
UB-3 (Papercraft) takes on Plumeria

In Moon:
UB-2 takes on Lusamine's traits
UB-3 (Bamboo) takes on Faba's

In Both:
UB-1 takes on Lillie (Before Games Events)
UB-4 (Wires) takes on Guzma's
UB-5 (Crab) takes on Hala
UB-R (Edge) takes traits from post-game Looker quest, from the villain he is tracking.

That is exactly what I've been saying. I'm not dismissing the idea that UBs might be Pokemon, I'm saying we have nothing to base it on other than the dex entries.

For all we know, UBs might not even a have a type. They might not even learn a Pokemon move, since we've been shown nothing to believe they can.

Most of the game's actual data is scrubbed regarding their names and typings but they wouldn't be there if they weren't Pokemon.

This is only true for Alola forms. Some could exist outside of the regional dex. There isn't anything to confirm or deny that because we only have a regional sprite info.

Actual new Pokemon however are all confirmed by the text mines. Potential Alola forms is all we can hope for.
