They'll probably release a remake of an older game in a couple years, and that will have alt. forms of Pokemon that weren't changed yet in current Gen 7 game.

if gen4 remakes are the next games we will get more megas. or a new forme from arceus.

if gen8 is the next game we might get a lot new pokemon because we bitch so much this time.
megas, reginal formes AND maybe fusions of old gen 1 mons. but you can't fuse them they just appear as fusions in the wild. wild guess i know.
