Is N3DS worth it for SM? Thinking of buying.

Do you think XY was a better experience on New 3DS than regular 3DS, enough to justify a purchase? The framerate dips in battle irked the shit outta me on regular 3DS XL. Wanna know what people think leading up to Sun and Moon.

Reviews say N3DS is noticably better on some games but I haven't found any that mention pokemon, and hardware don't mean anything if the games aren't optimised well.

Sorry if there's a thread already. I don't dare browse anymore since the demo's been datamined and I wanna stay as blind as possible. Please Understand.

Sure drop 200 on a 3D system (charger not included lol) for a game that doesn't utilize 3D in any meaningful way.

I wouldn't if I were you. It's clear the least amount of effort possible went into SM. It has generally the worst/most random designs, the Pokedex is pretty small compared to earlier generations.

Gamefreak cut development time to focus on the Pokemon game they are developing for the Switch. We got shafted because of it.

the slowdowns still happen, even if you're playing on a N3DS that's hacked to allow forced overclocking. If you already have a 3DS that works fine for you just stick to it.

Releasing the Sun/Moon demo this far out...or even releasing a demo at all was a mistake. We now know that Sun/Moon was criminally under developed. Little content, small world, and falls into the trap of 'slap a brand name on it, and they'll come' This game..while utterly disappointing and seriously heart breaking to me, is going to be a casual play at best with most likely zero replayability. This is the smallest land we've ever gotten, the smallest amount of new pokemon, and from the looks of the demo, the least innovative. I was excited for the alola forms, until it dawned on me that it was a cheap way to pad the numbers.

For those looking to buy the game, and have their heart set on it...do NOT play the demo, you'll only cheapen and lessen the play time you already have with this one.

Also. The Switch ISN'T the next gym portable system. Can't believe you guys are falling for this. There's obviously going to be a successor to the 3DS.. and it's not the Switch.
