It's important to note that bad typing is probably the least important factor in what makes a bad Pokemon. Stats, movepool, and Abilities are what matter more. A Pokemon with a terrible defensive typing but has amazing offensive stats and/or movepool is sure to perform amazingly. The comparison between Abomasnow and Tyrannitar is the best example of this.
