Ground to Ghost/Fire is no big deal at all, yet people are making it into one. At the most, it should just be a 'huh, that's neat' kind of reaction

Marowak evolved fire powers to combar the Grass types of Alola. If that worked in any way like IRL evolution, it's only natural that Cubones would be born with those powers developed

I have a feeling we're finally gonna get an official connection between these guys and kangaskahn, considering it follows them in the alola dex order... and it may have something to do with how cubone becomes ghost/fire when it evolves

Eevee had already shown that it doesn't work like that. An Eevee born from a Jolteon isn't Normal/Electric all of a sudden, nor is it necessarily predisposed to become another Jolteon.
