In other cases the DLC is not in the games files at all, when you buy it you are downloading all of the new content. In that case no you can't datamine it from the retail games files because it's not there. If it's DLC that isn't in the game at all to begin with you'd need to get it from Nintendo's servers, or whoever handles the DLC for that particular game.
