Did Ghost-types get fucked over this gen? Nearly everything that is a Ghost-type... isn't actually a ghost.

The sand castles are, but reception over them is divisive as fuck

Actually no. Gastly is just a sentient ball of gas that people confused for a ghost. Nothing pointed to Gastly being a dead thing. It's just an incorporeal creature.
Same thing as flying types. It's just a misnomer. Just like many flying types can't actually fly.

Gastly, Misdreavus, Duskull and Shuppet all just simple ghosts.
Know what is worse? Their lines represent literally 99% of Ghosts of the first three generations.

You understand what primary and secondary types mean right?

Primary type is the main characteristic (grass are generally plants, water generally fish, bug are bugs, steel are made of metal, etc)

Secondary typing is characteristics. Ghost means spooky/stealthy, Dark means mean/evil, psychic means smart/mental, etc.

Grass/Ghost does not mean dead plant (would be ghost/grass) it means spooky/stealthy plant.
