The plot for XYZ anime was rushed for newer gen, but i doubt this is the last time we see Greninja especially since Zygarde core is in the game.

Not OP but I can see what they mean by it.

Greninja had little personality outside of being quiet all the time, and having left trainers because they weren't up to his standards. He gets a special snowflake form that's super magical and rare and exclusive to only him and his trainer. He then proceeds to take up all the spotlight until he's called away by two legends because they need his help.

Ash was pretty bad, too. He won almost all of his battles and was constantly praised by everyone around him, suffering no conflict or strife from anyone other than the villains. His close group of friends (who were basically glorified cheerleaders) were a girl who had a mad crush on him, a nerd who wanted to be like him, and a girl who thought he was cool. Even Alain, who beat him three times, constantly sang his praises.

OP is probably mad, because Greninja got a wasted special potential for a small amount of episodes. And since he got released in anime, Greninja's popularity is confusing and feels forced.
