How confused were you guys when they weren't ghost/fairy and fire/fairy?

How much do you want to bet that they didn't make them those types because they didn't want to think up spooky-terrain and fiery-terrain?

Also, who wants to bet that water-tapu is a better water-fairy than Poppmaid?

It was sure that bull tapu would be grass/fairy since there is 4 terrain moves and 4 tapu. However I was expecting pink tapu to be pure fairy with misty terrain and purple tapu to be psychic/fairy with psychic terrain.

This, though I didn't "know" the bull was grass. I kinda thought it had to be but it didn't seem like it would be. But really none of them seem there type except the purple who appears to be some kind of fish. But anyway I thought the pink one and the purple one were switched.

Was a bit surprised, but I did had a feeling Fini will turn out Water/Fairy just cause of its aquatic look (even better now for a wall, I guess). Bulu was probably the one that threw me off since almost nothing about it says Grass, I could see Fire or Fighting, but wasn't exoecting Grass at all, similar to how I wasn't expecting Decidueye to be part Ghost.

I said Not just the color...
The birds are from the same islands that the tapus represent. Tapu Koko and the cheerleader bird will be from Mele-Mele island.
Mele-Mele means Yellow.

It's only natural to think that Baile bird & Tapu Bula are from Ula'ula Island... The red island.
It's not outlandish to think they'd share the same type, as 2 of the other birds share a type with their respective Tapus.

I expected the purple one to be water because it's a fucking narwhal and it has fins.
The other one could've been anything.
Can't say I give much of a shit about the guardians anyway. They're like the genies 2.0 in terms of boring designs.

Literally the only benefit is that it can't be put to sleep, but that may backfire if it's a defensive mon who's only recovery option ends up being rest, whereas offensively there's a good chance it will end up outclassed by Azumarill.

Primarina on the other hand may be lucky enough to get Serene Grace, in which case Scald and Moonblast's ability to shut down offensive mon's would make it a huge threat, and way more viable than Tapu FIni.

Misty terrain also defends against paralysis and burn. If it this ability works like sandstream, drought, and drizzle, the terrain will still be around after you switch. You could switch between this guy and your other mons...
Effectively shutting down thunder wave and other crap like that.
