'Twas good while it lasted and had a hell of an ending, but it's unlikely to return. (Unless the writers decide to actually eventually start treating this show like a series and grow some balls.)

Pretty much the second verse is the same as the first while the mouth kissing is pretty much a big deal. If anything, it'd have been dead if nothing had happened, but they have her in Hoenn doing contests.

Should they decide to do DP remakes, they'd probably bring her back because of the contests and for being the previous girl.

Also, I don't think they'd go through with another one of those romance subplots using Ash. They never really had it with Misty, May was set with Drew, Dawn was made the best friend while Iris was "the bad apple".

There's kind of a difference between a kiss on the cheek Latias did and the mouth kiss Serena did that pretty much flipped shit upside down that it needed to be censored. It kind of has a deeper meaning and I mean, even the adult characters that kiss only do kissing on the cheek.

The kiss happening and SM happening doesn't even go against it. If anything it just pretty much put Serena in a position of dropping by any time, which is why they had her go do contests instead of sticking in Kalos only. Who knows about DP remakes but they could have her pop around then and supposed GVI remakes again. But in the long run of things, she pretty much won.
