Is this move useless competitively? I can only see it as a counter to Curse and Cosmic Power abusers.

if it's 80 or 90 BP it'll be used just because it's a consistently strong Dark type attack

Whoops didn't realize that.

Holy shit dark type would be AWESOME for this move. My biggest issue when running a mon with Chip away is that I can't hit ghost types with it.

Its too bad this move is exclusively inciniroar tho

It'll be a water version of Smelling Salts but burn instead of sleep. Basically it'll deal more damage if the opponent is burned, which runs alongside Scald really well and will be great for closing out a crippled opponent.

Maybe at first, but only 1 out of 4 of the signature starter moves in Gen6 are still unique to them. Mystic Fire, Water Shuriken, and Spiky Shield were given to other pokemon in ORAS. So the same might happen to these in a later game in the same generation.
