So the new Train on video is out now, and can i just say THIS NEVER HAPPENS. I have never EVER seen a fucking teenager play pokemon. Not one as cute as pic related anyway. Also what kids decide to battle pokemon for their secret base?

Did i just miss out on childhood, or is this all lies?

Pretty much any given day of my last two years of high school there were people playing XY and ORAS during lunch breaks in their launch years, of varying genders and beauty. BW1 and BW2 in the two years prior to a lesser extent. Middle school had a lot of DPPt and HGSS going down in a different city.

I run a Pokémon League and I can say we get a good range of ages coming through playing both the card game and the video game. From children, to teenagers, to even a grandfather playing with his grandson.

I used to work in an Xchange and later a general game/toy store and teenage pokemon fans came in on a regular basis,usually touting obvious flagging merch. Short of similar circumstances why would you even expect to see enough teenagers to have a firm grasp of those numbers in the first place?

It's like you people have LEGITIMATELY never been outside. Have you ever enjoyed any form of social life? This shit literally happens every single day and nobody bats an eye.

I knew a billion people playing Pokémon straight from 13 to 18, although there were even more before and after that.

My gf and I met playing video games at a drinking party, and we weren't being autistic reclusive fucks, I had brought my Wii U and plenty of people wanted to play Beerio Kart.

All video games (yes, including Pokémon) are only as autistic as you make them. If you're a fat pimply wallflower of course this commercial seems like another planet. But for those of us with interpersonal skills, the world is, SURPRISE!, chock-fucking-full of people who like what you like. Especially cute ones.

Most of the jocks of my football team in high school (3rd gen) played Pokémon, heck I played Pokémon with people from the Tennis, design, swimming and football team back in college (4th gen).

Most of them where from average to good looking, I guess. It was just nice to chill and play a smogon OU tournament, or UU if we where really drunk, whenever we gathered at a bar after training.

I don't know were you guys live but in germany Pokemon most certainly isn't a normie franchise. It could be seen when all started playing Pokemon go. They butchered the hell out of the names of even gen 1 and were completely oblivious about the franchise in general. Most didn't even believe me when I mentioned we already had 6 gens of Pokemon and the first 151 were only the beginning
