therefore it's Water/Ghost.

If it was ghost pokemon with attributes of a water pokemon, it would be Ghost/water

I have a feeling they did the same Decidueye (even do in both the ghost/shadow theme works)(and inb4 raging autists, we have a thread up for this, don't start this shit here as well) totry abd make up for Grass/Flying. It's not at all a bad type, but even starter stats it would've been lackluster and we can't have that with the popular starter of the generation.

Giratina... much the same. It was exiled to an empty dimension by Arceus and comes out stripped of its original form much the same.

A jellyfish's body is something close to 100% water, so it is basically just a thin, floaty membrane of nerves. This makes it look ghostly and ethereal, some can even seemly appear and disappear out of sight and blend in with the surrounding water too, thus lending to Jellicent's partial ghost type.

Some jellyfish never die naturally I'm pretty sure. They just drift around until they get torn up, which could take years and years. Immortality and death are two sides of the same coin.
