Gale Wings is the biggest offender.
I despise shit like Swift Swim and Sand Rush. GF learned that weather teams, in general, we're broken as shit when they nerfed weather abilities to 5 turns (more if hold some shitty item).

Smogon already outlawed evasion boosting shit for weather, instead of seeing the that it naturally encourages using "never misses" skills; but this is Smogon, and those weaker moves with a niche like countering evasion faggots aren't good enough to make the build, so they just outright banned evasion boosting so they can run Fire Blast and Hydro Pump without endless tears, because they're all faggots.

I really can't think of anything outside of Gale Wings that's just so strong that it's stupid. Primal Groudon/Kyogre/Rayquaza are already on the stupid list and it's accepted that they're supposed be so strong that it turns stupid; and if you run them competitively, then you're a massive faggot.

The -ilate abilities would be insane, but GF has done a pretty good job of limiting how useful they'll ever be via movepool limitations, and making sure that the Normal special movepool is forever garbage outside of Hyper Voice.

What is Thunder Wave?

Anyone complaining about Speed Boost is retarded. For all those unbearable Sharpedos, Yanmegas, and Blizikens, who actually need it, hit it with Thunder Wave and now it needs 2 fucking turns to get it's speed back up to normal, and then a 3rd turn be in a better, but still losing to most Choice Scarfers, speed tier. 4 turns before you can never beat them without a priority move.

There's line between the ebb and flow of the stall/offensive spectrum and a mechanic that makes your pokemon unable to be touched by the vast majority of moves. It's not that people can't play around evasion but rather running an evasion check on every team hpmogenizes team building. No one has to run a paralyze counter or a confusion counter or setup counter or even an entry hazard counter because those mechanics aren't as binary and divorced from decision-making as evasion.

Parental Bond's second move's power got nerfed, and Power Up Punch is no longer a TM which means even when Mega Kanga is allowed again, it legally cannot have the move in VGC

Still a stupidly strong ability, but at least it doesn't get a damaging Swords Dance anymore

Triple Battles are confirmed removed from SM because even the VGC doubles standard causes some (very mild, nigh on unnoticeable, but still should not be there) sputtering, so literally an impossible situation outside of Showdown
