As I grew up I learned that it's much more fun to use Pokemon you don't necessarily like at first and grow to like them as you use them.

Then I picked Bulbasaur and now I always pick the grass type.

this. Every other starter ever made ever looks better than Penusaur. Would loved to have Chestnaught or something else bac in the day onstead of that failure.

How is Charmander considered overrated and Bulbasaur underrated. And it's not just this thread. Bulbasaur is always the most or 2nd most popular in every thread about starters on /vp/.

I chose Bulbasaur as a kid, and I always felt kind of villified by the show. Charmander started out as a cutie but came a massive flaming faggot when he evolved with the whole disobeying Ash thing. I liked that Bulbasaur was strong-willed and respectable, if a little too serious at times.
