The Terrain's PROTECTION AND BOOSTING EFFECTS apply to Pokemon on the ground.

Since Talonflame is flying, Psychic Terrain won't protect it from priority, but since Tapu Lele is a grounded Pokemon (it's not Flying type and it doesn't have Levitate), it can't be hit by any priority moves and the power of its Psychic-type moves gets boosted by 50%.

Terrain makes grounded Pokémon immune to priority, so Tapu Lele is immune to brave bird.

Both tsareena and Bruxish don't appreciate an update turn to the face.

Talonflame is gifted by powerful z moves that let him defeat all if those, taunt, bulk up, and WoW can be changed into 80 BP z moves, u turn and solarbeam become a 150 and 200 BP nukes if you choose to run them.

Talonflame is ridiculously great in this metagame even without the need to carry u turn or Flare blitz, WoW spdef Talonflame gives 0 fucks about all of them, actually spdef Talonflame might even be able to outstall Tapu Lele.

Talonflame won't fall from grace at all.

Is it possible Tsareena has defenses? We don't know stats yet and there's still a chance something stupid could happen.

Can't you switch Bruxish in to shut down Brave Bird and then presumably Aqua Jet before Talonflame can U-turn out? Depends on the moveset and how Dazzling works, I guess.

Psychic Terrain protects grounded mons. Priority moves could still be used against Talonflame, but it couldn't use them in return if the opponent is grounded.

Gengar is unaffected by Psychic Terrain. It doesn't get the protection from priority due to having Levitate. However, since Tapu Lele is a grounded Pokemon, it does get protection and a boost to its Psychic-type moves.

Flying Pokemon and Pokemon with Levitate aren't don't get the benefits of terrains, but their grounded foes and allies do.
