There are people out there that feel bothered enough to soft reset for a female while some don't mind either gender, but the gender ratio doesn't help at all for those who just want a bloody female. In all, this feels also like one of the reasons people are so opposed to "feminine" designs, because they know they're going to have to face the inevitable 87.5 to 12.5 ratio if god forbid, they want a female.
I never once got a female starter first try too, which only adds insult to injury and I just know same'll happen this time too. I know it's to make the whole breeding thing harder, but that's the point, WHY make breeding for starters that hard to begin with?
